Nagaris connects to the other systems your firm already uses so client data, jobs and billing information stay in step. This article explains what each integration does and where to manage them.
In the sidebar, open Settings and choose Integrations. The Integrations page has four tabs:
Xero Practice Manager — connect your XPM account, import your existing XPM data, control two-way syncing, map XPM business structures to Nagaris client types, and link XPM staff to your Nagaris team.
Xero — connect your Xero (accounting) organisation so Nagaris can work with your Xero file, including your chart of accounts and invoices.
BGL — connect BGL so company (CAS 360) and SMSF (Simple Fund 360) data appears against your clients.
Billing Import — a one-time import of clients, proposals, services and payment data from your current billing system, using CSV exports.
The Integrations page is available to your team members — users signed in with a client-portal role cannot see it. Some related settings, such as the Sync Preferences card on the Organisation page, can only be edited by firm admins.
The XPM and BGL integrations each give you two independent switches once connected:
Nagaris automatically updates XPM (or Nagaris automatically updates BGL) — changes you make in Nagaris are pushed out to the other system.
XPM automatically updates Nagaris (or BGL automatically updates Nagaris) — changes made in the other system flow back into Nagaris.
You can turn each direction on or off at any time; Nagaris confirms with a Sync settings updated successfully. message.
For XPM there is an extra layer of control: each client group has its own XPM auto-sync switch, so you can decide group by group which clients are kept in sync. See the article on the green XPM icon for details.
Two cards on the Organisation Details page (open Settings, then Organisation Details) also affect how integrations behave:
Sync Preferences — controls your Service Integration (whether jobs and services are managed in Nagaris or synced from XPM) and how client names are formatted when they come in from other systems. Only admins can edit this card.
Accounting Software Integration — the email addresses your clients use when inviting your firm into their Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks files during onboarding.
Connecting or disconnecting an integration affects your whole organisation, not just your own login.
Each integration shows a Connected badge and the date it was connected, so you can confirm at a glance that it is active.
If a connection breaks (for example an expired Xero token), the integration card shows an error alert with a reconnect button — you rarely need to start from scratch.
