Even with XPM connected, Nagaris lets you choose group by group which clients stay in sync. The control is the XPM auto-sync toggle on each client group — shown as a small round icon that is green when syncing is on and grey when it's off. (The icon uses the familiar Xero-style roundel in XPM green, which is why many people call it the green Xero icon.)
Green icon — hover text reads Auto-sync with XPM is enabled. The group and its clients sync with XPM.
Grey icon — hover text reads Auto-sync with XPM is disabled. Nothing in this group syncs.
You'll see the icon in three places:
Next to the group's name at the top of its page.
In the XPM column of the Client Groups list (this column only appears when your organisation has XPM connected).
Individual clients don't have their own toggle — a client follows its client group. Client cards instead show a sync status badge (Pending, Syncing, Synced, Failed) whenever their group's auto-sync is on.
Open the client group and find the Client Group Details card.
In the card header, flick the XPM switch (the toggle with the XPM roundel on its thumb). Hover it first if you want to confirm the current state.
Nagaris confirms with Auto-sync with XPM enabled or Auto-sync with XPM disabled.
The same option is available from the card's actions menu as Enable XPM Auto-Sync / Disable XPM Auto-Sync.
If a client or group you expect to see in XPM isn't there, check in this order:
The group's XPM icon is green (auto-sync enabled) — this is the most common cause.
Nagaris automatically updates XPM is switched on, on the Xero Practice Manager Integration card under Settings → Integrations.
The organisation connection is healthy — the card shows a green Connected badge, not Token Expired or Connection Error.
The client isn't showing a Failed sync badge or an XPM Error Message alert on its details card (see the troubleshooting article for fixing failed links).
Once auto-sync is enabled the entity will sync through to XPM.
Deleting a group in Nagaris asks whether to remove it from XPM as well: the delete confirmation shows a Delete in XPM checkbox, along with how many clients will also be deleted. Deleting individual clients in bulk offers the same Also delete in XPM option. Leave the box unticked to delete only in Nagaris.
Turning auto-sync off doesn't remove anything from XPM — it simply stops future changes flowing for that group.
