The Xero integration links Nagaris to your firm's Xero (accounting) organisation. It's separate from the Xero Practice Manager connection: XPM handles clients, jobs and timesheets, while the Xero connection is about your ledger — invoices Nagaris raises for you, and the chart of accounts used for payment processing.
In the sidebar, open Settings, choose Integrations, and select the Xero tab.
On the Xero Integration card, click Connect Xero Account. You're taken to Xero to sign in and authorise Nagaris, then returned to the Xero tab. (If Nagaris already knows about Xero organisations on your account, the button reads Connect Xero Organisation and skips straight to the selection step.)
The Xero Connections dialog lists each Xero organisation available to your account, with its name and ID. Click Connect next to the right one — the button shows Linking... while it works.
On success you'll see Xero organisation linked successfully.
If the organisation you need isn't listed, click Can't see the Organisation you're looking for? at the bottom of the dialog — this sends you back through the Xero sign-in so you can authorise access to additional organisations. An empty dialog shows No Xero connections found. with the prompt Connect your organisation to Xero to get started.
The card lists your Xero tenant with a Connected badge and the organisation's name. From the three-dot Extra Actions menu you can:
Refresh Xero — pull the latest data from Xero now (Xero refreshed successfully.).
Disconnect Xero — unlink the organisation (Xero organisation unlinked successfully.).
If billing is enabled for your organisation, the card also shows a Configure Xero Accounts button (Set up your chart of accounts for payment processing), which takes you to the Billing page. There, the Xero Accounting Settings card lets you choose your Service Income, Processing Fee Revenue, Processing Fees Expense, Clearing and Settlement Bank accounts, and pick invoice templates — see the billing articles for details. Billing must be enabled for your organisation; if you don't see it, contact support to turn it on for your firm.
Invoices raised through Nagaris are created in your Xero file. In the invoices list, a Xero icon shows blue with hover text Synced with Xero once the invoice exists in Xero, and grey with Not synced with Xero until then.
If you delete an invoice in Nagaris that has already synced, Nagaris warns: This invoice has been synced to Xero. You will need to manually void or delete it in Xero.
Disconnecting Xero doesn't remove any invoices already created in Xero — it only stops new activity syncing.
The Xero connection is organisation-wide. Whoever connects it should use a Xero login with access to the correct Xero organisation.
