Signing in and out of Nagaris

Every way to sign in to Nagaris — email codes, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Xero and passkeys — plus switching organisations and signing out.

Nagaris doesn't use passwords. Instead you sign in with a one-time email code, with an account you already have (Google, Microsoft, Apple or Xero), or with a passkey. This article covers each method, what happens after you sign in, and how to switch organisations or sign out.

Choosing a sign-in method

On the sign-in page you'll see Welcome with the prompt Select your preferred login method below. and these options:

  • Continue with Apple — sign in with your Apple ID.

  • Continue with Google — sign in with your Google account.

  • Continue with Microsoft — sign in with your Microsoft 365/Outlook account.

  • Continue with Xero — sign in with your Xero login.

  • Continue with Email — get a one-time password sent to your inbox.

  • Sign in with a Passkey — shown under the have a passkey? divider, and only on browsers that support passkeys.

All methods reach the same Nagaris account, as long as they use the same email address. You can connect extra sign-in providers later from your Security page.

Signing in with email

  1. Click Continue with Email. The Sign In with Email screen appears with the note We'll send you an email with a one-time password.

  2. Enter your email address and click Send Verification Email.

  3. On the Check Your Inbox screen, type the 6-digit one-time password from the email. The form submits automatically once all six digits are entered, or you can click Confirm.

The email may also contain a sign-in link. Clicking it verifies you automatically without typing the code; if the link is invalid or has expired you'll be returned to the email sign-in screen to request a fresh code.

If the code is wrong you'll see Invalid one-time password. Use Back to return and re-send a code. If you request codes too rapidly Nagaris rate-limits you and shows Too many requests. Please try again in … — wait out the timer before retrying.

Signing in with Google, Microsoft, Apple or Xero

Click the relevant Continue with … button and approve the request in the provider's own window. You're returned to Nagaris and signed in. If the provider hand-off fails you'll see a message such as Failed to sign in with Google. Please try again. and land back on the sign-in page.

Signing in with a passkey

Click Sign in with a Passkey and approve the prompt with your fingerprint, face or security key. While it verifies, the button shows Verifying.... If it fails, you'll see Passkey sign-in failed. Please try another method. — any other method still works. You can register passkeys from your Security page.

What happens after you sign in

  • If your account has multi-factor authentication enabled, you'll be asked to verify before entering the workspace (see the multi-factor authentication article).

  • If you have a pending team invitation, Nagaris shows it so you can Accept or Reject it.

  • If your account isn't linked to any organisation yet, you'll see You're not connected to an organisation.

  • Otherwise you land on the dashboard of your last-used organisation.

Switching organisations

If you belong to more than one organisation, click the organisation name at the top of the left sidebar. A list headed Organisations appears — click one to switch straight to its dashboard. You can also press Ctrl (or ⌘ on Mac) plus a number key (1–9) to jump between organisations, ordered alphabetically.

New organisations are created by the Nagaris team, so you won't see an option to create one yourself.

Signing out

Click your name in the top-right corner and choose Log Out. The same menu gives quick access to Profile, Security and Notifications, plus links to Support, Privacy and Terms.

Good to know

  • Nagaris locks your session after a period of inactivity and signs you out entirely if you stay away longer — see the security settings article.

  • Signing in with a different email address creates a separate, empty account. Always use the email your firm knows you by.
