How do I get my firm set up on Nagaris?

How new firms are onboarded to Nagaris, what to expect on your first sign-in, and what to do if you're not connected to an organisation.

Most firms are onboarded with help from the Nagaris team. Your organisation (your firm's workspace) is created for you — there's no self-service create workspace button — and after your initial call the team can upload your terms and conditions and services list, connect your data, and walk you through your first engagements. If you'd like to fast-track setup (for example before 1 July), book a setup call and your account can be ready ahead of time.

What happens on your first sign-in

  1. Go to the Nagaris sign-in page and pick a method — Continue with Email, Continue with Google, Continue with Microsoft, Continue with Apple or Continue with Xero. Use the same email address the Nagaris team (or your firm administrator) set you up with.

  2. If a team invitation is waiting for you, Nagaris shows an Invitation screen where you can Accept it — see the article on accepting a team invitation.

  3. If your firm requires multi-factor authentication, you'll be taken through the Secure Your Account setup before entering the workspace.

  4. You land on your organisation's dashboard.

You're not connected to an organisation

If you sign in and your account isn't linked to any organisation, you'll see the message You're not connected to an organisation, showing the email address you signed in with.

The screen asks: Were you invited by your accountant? — and this is the most common cause. Double-check that you've signed in with the same email address the invitation was sent to. Signing in with a different email creates a separate account that won't have access to the organisation. Click Sign out and try another email and sign back in with the correct address.

If you're a firm expecting a brand-new workspace and you see this screen, your organisation hasn't been created yet — contact the Nagaris team to complete onboarding.

First things to set up

Once you're in your workspace, a firm administrator will usually want to:

  1. Open the Settings menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Organisation Details to check your practice details (name, ABN, address and contact details — clients will see these).

  2. Add your Branding (logo and square icon) and Brand Colours so client-facing documents match your practice.

  3. Add your Tax Agent Details (registered agent number).

  4. Invite your team from the Team page with Invite Member.

Each of these is covered in detail in the Team, roles & organisation settings articles.

Good to know

  • Only users with the Administrator or Owner permission can edit organisation settings and invite team members.

  • Nagaris staff cannot see inside your workspace unless someone at your firm explicitly invites them — see the privacy article.
