Organisation settings: practice details, branding, tax agent and name formats

The Organisation page for firm admins — practice details, logos, brand colours, tax agent profiles, name formatting and sync preferences.

Your firm-wide settings live on the Organisation page. Open the Settings menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Organisation Details. Everyone can view the page; the edit (pencil) buttons appear only for firm admins (Administrator or Owner permission).

Your Practice

The Your Practice card holds your firm's public details: Name, Website, Email, Phone, Mobile, Address, ABN, ACN and your Nagaris PID (your organisation's unique identifier in Nagaris). The card carries a reminder — Clients will see your organisation details. — because these details appear on client-facing pages, so keep them current.

To change them, click the pencil button to open Edit Practice Details, update the fields and save.

Branding (logos)

The Branding card takes two images:

  • Main Logo — a horizontal logo (768 × 256) shown in proposals, invoices, and client portal headers. Use a transparent background for best results.

  • Square Icon — a square mark (256 × 256) Used for browser tabs, mobile apps, and anywhere space is limited. Should be recognisable even at tiny sizes.

Click a tile to upload an image; a crop dialog lets you frame it to the right shape before saving (Main Logo saved / Square Icon saved). You can also remove an image from its tile. The square icon doubles as your organisation's tile in the sidebar organisation switcher.

Brand Colours

The Brand Colours card sets two colours used across client-facing material:

  • Brand — your primary colour.

  • Accent — a secondary highlight colour.

Click the pencil to open the Colours dialog, pick or type each colour, and save — you'll see Brand colours updated successfully. Until you upload a square icon, the sidebar shows your organisation's initial on a tile filled with your brand colour. If you're unsure of your exact colour values, send the Nagaris team the colours you want and they can set them for you.

Tax Agent Details

The Tax Agent Details card stores one or more tax agent profiles. Click Add Tax Agent Profile (or the empty state's prompt No profiles configured) and complete:

  • Nickname (internal) — an optional label for telling profiles apart.

  • Tax Agent Name (required).

  • Type — Tax Agent or BAS Agent.

  • Agent Number (RAN) (required) — your registered agent number.

  • Contact Phone (required).

When you have more than one profile, a checkbox — Display this tax agent's details within ATO Portal Link card — controls which profile's details clients see there. Each profile can be edited or deleted from its card (Tax agent profile … deleted successfully.).

Sync Preferences (name formatting and service integration)

The Sync Preferences card notes: These settings control how Nagaris formats names and syncs data with your practice management software. Click the pencil to open Edit Sync Preferences:

  • Service Integration — Choose where jobs and services are managed: Nagaris — Manage jobs and services directly (the default) or XPM — Sync from Xero Practice Manager.

  • Individual Name Format — How individual client names appear throughout Nagaris: First Last — e.g. John Smith, Last, First — e.g. Smith, John, or LAST, First — e.g. SMITH, John.

  • Non-Individual Name Format — How company, trust and other entity names appear: As Is — e.g. Smith Family Trust or UPPERCASE — e.g. SMITH FAMILY TRUST.

The name-format options are the fix if imported company names are showing in capitals when you don't want them to — set Non-Individual Name Format to As Is.

Other cards on this page

  • Accounting Software Integration — records your Xero Organisation Email, MYOB Organisation Email and QuickBooks Organisation Email.

  • Personal Access Tokens — organisation-level API tokens for advanced integrations; most firms won't need these.

Good to know

  • All changes here apply organisation-wide immediately.

  • If you don't see the pencil buttons, you have the Member permission — ask a firm admin to make the change.
