Inviting team members and managing invitations

How firm admins invite staff to Nagaris, what the Pending, Accepted and Rejected statuses mean, and how to resend or revoke an invitation.

Only firm admins (Administrator or Owner permission) can invite team members. Invitations are sent by email, and every invitation your firm has sent is tracked on the Invitations page.

Sending an invitation

  1. Go to Team (in the Settings menu at the bottom of the sidebar) and click Invite Member. You can also invite from the Invitations page, or from the empty-state prompt if your team list is empty.

  2. In the Invite Team Member dialog, enter the person's email address under Invite by email.

  3. Choose their permission under Invite as — Member is the default; you can also choose Administrator, Owner or No Access. See the permissions article for what each level allows.

  4. Click Send Invitation.

Nagaris emails the person a link to join. After sending from the Team page you're taken to the Invitations page, where the new invitation appears with a Pending status.

If the address can't be invited — for example it already belongs to a member of your organisation — the dialog shows the error against the email field so you can correct it.

The invited person's side of the process is covered in Accepting an invitation to join your firm in the Getting started collection.

The Invitations page

Open Settings at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Invitations. The table shows every invitation with:

  • Email — the address invited.

  • Role — the permission they'll receive (Owner, Administrator, Member).

  • Status — one of:

  • Pending — sent but not yet actioned. Only pending invitations can be resent or revoked.

  • Accepted — the person joined; they now appear on the Team page.

  • Rejected — the person declined the invitation.

  • Invited By — the team member who sent it.

  • Invited At — when it was sent.

You can filter the list by Role and Status, adjust visible columns with the column toggle, and page through long lists. When there are no invitations at all you'll see No pending invitations — Invite team members or clients to join your organisation.

Resending an invitation

If the email went missing or expired, click the envelope button (Resend invitation) next to a pending invitation. You'll see Invitation resent successfully and the person receives a fresh link.

Revoking an invitation

To cancel a pending invitation — wrong address, or plans changed — click the bin button (Revoke invitation) and confirm. You'll see Invitation revoked successfully and the emailed link stops working immediately. If they open the old link they'll see Invalid or expired invitation link.

Troubleshooting

  • Invitation links expire. If someone waited too long to accept, resend the invitation rather than forwarding the old email.

  • They accepted but can't see the organisation. They almost certainly signed in with a different email address — the invitation is tied to the invited address. Have them sign out and sign back in with the invited email.

  • You don't see the Invite Member button. It's shown to Administrators and Owners only.
