Rather than typing a client's bank or card details yourself, you can send them a secure link to enter their own. The link opens a Nagaris-hosted page branded with your firm's logo, and the details flow straight onto the client's payment methods.
Billing must be enabled for your organisation.
From the client's Billing → Payment Methods section: Add Payment Method → Request from client.
From an unpaid invoice: Collect → Request new payment details (Send the client a secure link to update their payment details.). Requests started this way are tied to the invoice, and the invoice shows a Payment Method Requested badge until the client responds.
First pick the recipient contact. Then either:
Copy link – click Generate link, then copy the URL and send it however you like (for example in your own email thread). The tab reminds you: This link lets the client securely add their payment details. The link expires after 7 days.
Send email – Nagaris sends the request for you. You can choose the Send From address (a connected mailbox or the default Nagaris sender), pick an Email Template (the built-in Payment method request (System) template or one of your own from the Payment Method Request category), and edit the Subject and Email Body. Use Insert Field in the toolbar to add recipient details; the payment link placeholder is replaced with a unique secure URL when sent. The email link also expires after 7 days.
If the request is created but the email can't be sent, Nagaris tells you and suggests copying the link instead.
The Copy link tab only appears when credit card payments are enabled for your organisation; otherwise the email form is shown directly.
The link opens a page headed Add Payment Method — your firm's name has requested your payment details — showing your logo, the client entity and the contact the request was addressed to.
If the client already has a payment method on file, a notice says You already have a payment method on file. You can update it below if needed.
To add a bank account, the client enters BSB, Account Number and Account Name.
To add a card, the client completes the secure Primer card form (Nagaris does not store card numbers). If card payments can't be set up for this client, the page suggests using a bank account instead.
When they finish, the client sees Payment Method Saved! — Your billing details have been successfully saved. — and can close the window. The new method appears on the client's Payment Methods list for your team to use.
This payment link is invalid or has expired. / Link Expired – links live for 7 days. Generate a new request; there's no way to revive an old link.
The client's new bank account may still need verification before it can be charged — check its badge on the Payment Methods list. Bank accounts added by the client through a link tied to a proposal or payment request are handled for you where possible, but always confirm the method shows under Ready to charge before scheduling payments.
If the client reports the card form won't load, add or confirm their billing address and email on the client record, then ask them to reopen the link.
