Once your organisation's shared inbox is connected, you can write email to clients directly from the Inbox — with templates, personalisation placeholders, signatures and attachments — and the whole team sees the conversation.
Go to Inbox and click the compose button next to the tabs. The New Message sheet opens.
Make sure the Email tab is selected at the top (the other options are SMS and WhatsApp).
In To, start typing to search your contacts — the picker lists contacts that have an email address. If the person isn't a contact yet, choose the add-contact option to create one on the spot.
Need more recipients? Click Cc or Bcc to reveal those fields and add addresses as chips.
Choose who the email comes from in Send From — the shared inbox (marked (Shared inbox)), one of your own connected accounts (your default is marked (Primary)), or the fallback via Nagaris address. Connect New Email sits right above the field if you want to link another account first.
Optionally pick an Email template in the Templates panel — it fills the subject and body, which you can then edit freely.
Under Sender Information, use the Include signature switch and pick a Signature source: My profile signature or Organisation default.
Add files in the Attachments panel — up to 10 files, 25 MB each.
Write your message in the Email preview on the right: click the subject, body or signature to edit that section in place. Placeholders such as the recipient's name are shown already substituted for the selected contact.
Click Send. You'll see Email sent and the new conversation opens in your Inbox.
If the email option instead shows the notice Connect shared inbox, your organisation inbox isn't connected yet — an owner or admin can set it up via the Open Email settings link.
Open an email conversation and click the Reply icon in the header (or reply from an individual message card). The reply composer keeps the thread's subject and gives you:
To, Cc and Bcc recipient fields.
A collapsed Original message section showing what you're replying to, with an Include in send checkbox to control whether the quoted original is appended.
A signature button that cycles between My signature, Org signature and No signature.
Attachments via the paperclip, with the same 10-file / 25 MB limits.
Click Send when done — or Discard reply to close the composer.
From any message card in a thread, choose forward. The composer switches to forward mode: the source appears under Forwarded message, and if it carried attachments you can tick Include original attachments to pass them along. Enter the new recipient and click Forward — you'll see Email forwarded and the forwarded email starts its own conversation.
Please enter or select a recipient email, Please enter a subject, or Please enter a message, enable signature, or add an attachment — the send button stays disabled until each of these is provided.
Please fix the email address in Cc (or Bcc/To) — one of the typed addresses isn't valid.
You can attach up to 10 files. / file is too large (max 25 MB per file). — attachment limits.
Replies you receive land back in the same conversation in the Inbox, and every outbound shared-inbox email is also listed under the Sent emails tab.
